FC Vaduz uses the power of football to inspire youth and their families in Vaduz, Liechtenstein and the region, to merge people with different backgrounds and cultures and to create opportunities for integration. The participants benefit from year-round programmes.
Problem to be tackled
The challenges are:
- low-income families,
- opportunities for refugee children and youth as well as asylum seekers and
- integration of persons with disabilities.
The youth department of FC Vaduz is responsible for the implementation of the individual initiatives.
Around 150 children and youth as well as 20 coaches, structured in age groups and various categories, follow the approach of education in sports, team spirit and creativity.
The project targets mainly children and youth who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The appeal of sports helps to attract and engage participation.
Between the years 2017 and 2020, The SOL Foundation assists FC Vaduz and its youth department in the implementation of defined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
