The SOL Foundation supports Shamas Rugby Foundation, a Kenyan based not-for-profit organisation, using the sport of rugby to promote the holistic development of boys and girls living in urban slums and rural areas in Kenya.

The SOL Foundation supports Dakshin Foundation, an Indian based not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation using the sport of football in a pilot project to empower local youth to participate in and lead a range of social/environmental activities, with sports as a unifying platform.

The SOL Foundation supports Basketball Leben, a German based association, using the sport of Basketball to strengthen the local community of Bögöz, Romania with sport, an after-school programme or cultural activities.

The SOL Foundation and Kick Mit Austria have extended their co-operation with focus Vorarlberg, an empowering football project for girls and young women mainly with migration backgrounds in conjunction with implementation partner FC Lustenau 1907.

Football, Rugby, Cricket, Netball and Hockey in South Africa

The SOL Foundation and United Through Sport have extended their co-operation with focus on the Mass Participation Programme but also to assist with infrastructure, namely with two new sports grounds, one will be at a school and the other at a football club, that will not only benefit their programmes but also the communities in the area.

The SOL Foundation and Girl Determined have renewed their co-operation for the benefit of the “Colorful Girls Circles”, a Volleyball project in Myanmar.

Girl Determined works to equip girls with the skills, confidence and support system to navigate Myanmar’s changing landscape and increasing their access to new potential benefits.

More basketball in Israel

The SOL Foundation will continue to support PEACEPLAYERS INTERNATIONAL Middle East and its Basketball project in Israel.

PEACEPLAYERS INTERNATIONAL Middle East uses the game of basketball to bridge divides, change perceptions and develop leaders among Palestinian and Israeli children and youth. The participants benefit from year-round basketball programmes, conflict resolution and leadership activities for children and youth ages 6-20, as well as capacity building for young adults, in Israel and the West Bank.
