Innovation Fund 2019

Laureus Sport for Good and The SOL Foundation  partnered in 2018 to create Sport for Development’s first ‘Innovation Fund’ – designed to identify the most innovative work in the sector and allow it to flourish. The Innovation Fund is designed to support truly innovative work and solutions at a stage before traditional funders would be able to justify involvement – i.e. before impact of the given initiative has been proven. Here is the 2nd edition, the Innovation Fund 2019.

Breakdance in Cambodia

The SOL Foundation assists Tiny Toones to rescue kids from the streets, pulling them away from violence, gangs and drugs and instead offering them music, breakdancing and a solid education.

Congratulations to The Naz Foundation (India) Trust

The SOL Foundation congratulates The Naz Foundation (India) Trust who has been honoured with the Business Standard Social Enterprise of the Year 2018 Award for building a cadre of young leaders through sports under the Young People’s Initiative (YPI).

The Finance Minister of India Mr Arun Jaitley handing over the award to Kalyani Subramanyam, Programme Director at Naz and one of the team members.

Naz has been able to empower more than 90’000 adolescents since the launch of their programmes.

 

 

 

Football, volleyball and tennis in Greece

The SOL Foundation assists Lighthouse Relief to continue and advance on-going psychosocial support by providing a structured opportunity for peer to peer support, social interaction, learning and play to children and youth living in the Ritsona refugee camp.

The FOOTBALL IS MORE Foundation launched their FIM-Academy, an educational course ‘Coach for inclusion, health and peace’ – facilitated in conjunction with the University of Liechtenstein; The Sol Foundation assists with stipends and scholarships.
